Campus Ministry

"By proclaiming the love of Christ around His table and in the world, we will build a stronger Church family through strengthening of the ministries to college students, youth, adults, and the greater community."

- St. Andrew's Mission Statement

Greetings from the Campus Minister

Welcome to St. Andrew's. We are an inclusive community offering hospitality to all who come to our doors. The church building is open twenty-four hours a day, every day, for quiet time, prayer and meditation, providing opportunities for inner rest, spiritual renewal, and strength.

I am available for counseling by appointment, to students, faculty, and staff at no charge.

We do not have the answers to all your questions, but we are willing to work with you as we all move deeper and deeper into the mystery of God-made-flesh in Jesus of Nazareth.

As he said to his followers, "Come and see."

Peace/Shalom/Salaam,

The Rev. James F Tuohy Rector & Campus Minister

Wednesday Worship

We meet for worship on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. This worship includes informal singing with guitar and piano, scripture readings, and the Holy Eucharist. Eucharist is a Greek word meaning "thanksgiving". It is also known as Holy Communion or the Lord's Supper. This is not our table, but the table of our Lord; therefore all persons believing in the presence of Christ in their lives are invited and encouraged to join us in the receiving of the bread and wine. If you play guitar or another acoustic instrument, you are invited to come at 6:00 to practice and share your talent with us as we worship together. This service usually lasts about 45 minutes.

Following Worship, we will go to the Parish Hall for dinner and a time for fellowship. Dinner is free and is provided by one or more of the members of St. Andrew's. This is informal, and fun, and a good way to get to know each other on an informal and personal level.

Canterbury House

Canterbury House is home to up to four students each semester. This is on a first come, first serve basis. While priority is given to Episcopal Students, others are considered in the event of a vacancy. Please call the church for more information of for an application. We are proud to be on the Diocese list for funds from the Acts II campaign to replace our existing building. This is very exciting for our Campus Ministry Program, and more information will be available soon! For more information or an application for residency, please contact the church.
